Hi my name is April Suddendorf. I am a 26 year old illustrator from Germany currently based in Dublin, Ireland. I graduated 2022 from Wismar University with a degree in Communication Design.
I like to play around with colours and materials to build fantastical and somewhat wicked worlds often featuring a variety of strange characters.
In my spare time I read thrillers and children's books, make slighty health-hazardous earrings and teach myself to handpoke tattoo.
My first picture book "Wacky Witches and their Peculiar Familiars" will be published September 2024 by NorthSouth and the German version came out 2023 with their German imprint NordSüd.
I am currently doing my Master's degree in Children's and Young Adult Literature at Dublin City University and working on new picture book ideas (featuring alligators, mice, goblins and wizards!)
